What is Helpdesk
The Nido Helpdesk is a problem reporting system designed to be used by residents of Nido Student Accommodation. It's main function is to make the process for reporting problems in your room or the building simple and painless.
Upon arriving at your Nido accommodation you will be given a Helpdesk username and password to access the system. Because Helpdesk is a web-based application you only need to have Internet access and a browser. No special software is needed and the system will not want to install any active X controls or third party components on your PC.
Access is gained by visiting http://nido.opushelpdesk.com.
How to use Helpdesk
Helpdesk has been design to be easy to use and reporting a problem with a piece of equipment or furniture can be done with just 4 clicks. Once you have logged into the system you are presented with 3 choices.

- MY HELPDESK HISTORY
- MY HELPDESK PROFILE
If you have a problem to report click on 'REPORT A PROBLEM'. You are then presented with 3 more choices. If the problem is in your room select
'REPORT A PROBLEM IN YOUR ROOM' You now have two options. If your problem is internet related select the top option. If you problem is with a
piece of equipment or furniture in your room select the item from the list under the heading: Room Equipment/Furniture problems.
Clicking on the 'Report a problem' link takes you to the final stage. Using the 'Description of problem' dropdown menu select the one closest to the problem you are experiencing. Any additional information can be placed in the box below. All that's left to do is click on the 'Report Problem Now' button and a Helpdesk ticket will be generated. One of our engineers will be with you to correct the problem.
